Andrew B. Levy

Andrew Levy is Of Counsel to Burke Blue Hutchison Walters and Smith, P.A., and brings significant corporate and commercial experience. 

Mr. Levy is an experienced attorney with a practical business background. He represents companies on various legal and commercial issues, including strategic consulting, business plans, sales/marketing strategy development, new business formation and the structuring of business transactions.  Mr. Levy currently serves as counsel for a national beer sales, marketing and distribution company.  He was formerly vice president and general counsel, with responsibility for all financial and legal matters, for a Chicago-based construction company, and he previously founded a strategic consulting/legal services firm.

Mr. Levy received his Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School in 1999.  While in law school, Mr. Levy was Editor-in-Chief of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy and a member of the Moot Court Board of Directors.  Mr. Levy received his Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2006, with concentrations in finance and marketing.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1994, after which he spent two years working for New York’s Governor on various budgetary matters. 

Mr. Levy’s experience includes:

• Counseling on legal issues related to contracts, buy/sell arrangements, marketing issues, distributor arrangements, supply chain matters, public policy and corporate governance;
• Advising companies on mergers, acquisitions and other corporate restructurings;
• Resolving partnership and shareholder disputes; and
• Drafting and negotiating various contracts, operating, partnership and shareholders’ agreements, and intellectual property licenses.

Mr. Levy is a member of the board of directors of the Bay Education Foundation and Temple B’Nai Israel; and is a member of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bay Class of 2009, the Gulf Coast Marketing and Media Association, the Bay County Charter School Review Committee, the Bay County Bar Association, and the St. Andrew Bay Inns of Court.  He is admitted in Florida, Illinois, New York and Massachusetts.
